The State Tower Building, overlooking Hanover Square in downtown Syracuse, was home to Mr. Daly's law office from 1989 until his move to Manlius in 2009. The STB is Syracuse's tallest building, designed in the art deco style and constructed in 1928.
The building is a favorite of photographers, as seen here and here. The grand art deco lobby was re-furbished in 2003. Other photographs of life in and around in Hanover Square are at the website of the Syracuse Downtown Committee.
For at least seven seasons, through 2010, a pair of peregrine falcons, Fancy and Groucho, returned each Spring to the top of the State Tower Building to hatch and fledge another brood of chicks.
